Girl Up Vine Club Sierra Leone is the first United Nations (UN) foundation campaign "Girl Up Club" in Sierra Leone. We are a non-profit and community based organization registered in Sierra Leone.
Girl Up Vine Club Sierra Leone aims to promote the health, safety, leadership and education of adolescent girls in Sierra Leone. We operate at Vine Memorial Secondary School for Girls (VMSSG) and we target adolescent girls at the Junior Secondary School (JSS)/middle school level.
What We Do
Girls are our priority
Here at Girl Up Vine Club Sierra Leone we cater to around 30 girls ranging from various backgrounds and life experiences at Vine Memorial Secondary School (VMSSG). Girl Up Vine Club Sierra Leone is a safe space, we meet once a week with the girls and discuss matters from local to international news "News Flash", plan events for the calendar year and train the girls in: computer literacy, public speaking and writing. We also provide counseling and mentoring services.
Mentoring & Counseling Services
With our mission always in mind, we work tirelessly to improve the lives of individuals from all walks of life. At Girl Up Vine Club Sierra Leone we provide mentoring services for our beneficiaries as well as counseling from sexual, physical, psychological, mental and emotional abuse.
With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need at Girl Up Vine Club Sierra Leone by ensuring what our girls disclose to us is kept in the strictest confidence as the safety of our girls is our top priority.
At Girl Up Vine Club Sierra Leone, we create a platform for our girls to let their voices be heard through public speaking workshops and community outreach. Through this medium they are able to build their confidence and become assured young women in the future.
